Ngày 10/08/2026, Thủ tướng Chính phủ ban hành Quyết định số 42/2026/QĐ-TTg về Danh mục lĩnh vực, cơ sở phát thải khí nhà kính phải thực hiện kiểm kê khí nhà kính (cập nhật). Quyết định có hiệu lực từ ngày 25/09/2026 và thay thế Quyết định số 13/2024/QĐ-TTg ngày 13/08/2024.
